Shark Bite Trail Mix

Categories Recipe

Hubby and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary this week, so we decided to take the family on a mini-vacation this weekend to relax and enjoy some quality time together. We’ve been talking for months about visiting the Siesta Key area, both so we could take Little G to the MOTE Aquarium, and so Hubby can check off another Man Vs. Food location from his list. A friend recommended that we check out Bentley’s Boutique Hotel in Osprey, FL. It was in the perfect location, seemed quiet and upscale, while still affordable, so we booked it.

I’m really excited to take Little G (and Hubby, because let’s be honest, he’s just a big kid) to MOTE Aquarium, because they specialize in shark research. Hubby loves sharks, and Little G loves anything that swims! I wanted to make some snack mix to bring on the trip, and remembered how much I used to love the Shark Bites gummies when I was a kid, so though this would be the perfect time to get creative and use those gummies in my snack mix.

I mixed it up this morning, and I’m not gonna lie, I already tried some, and it is really yummy! This was my first attempt at creating my own snack mix, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Hopefully the boys will enjoy it too!

  • Pretzel Sticks
  • Cheez-Its (I used Cheddar Jack)
  • Caramel Apple Chips
  • Shark Bites Fruit Snacks
  • Honey Roasted Cashews
  • M&M’s

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

Little G is still pretty little, so I also mixed him his own snack mix that doesn’t include the cashews or gummies, and has mini M&M’s instead of the regular sized ones.
