The truth of the matter…

Ok, let’s try this again. I really feel like I haven’t been true to myself when trying to write my blog, and I feel like that’s why I haven’t stuck with it. I’ve been trying to be something I’m not. Some cute little crafty stay-at-home mom that cooks all these elaborate dishes and makes her own laundry detergent and does tons of DIY projects. But let’s face it, that’s not me. I wish I was more like these moms. I have a lot of respect for them. But these things just aren’t at the top of my priority list. I have other things that are more important to me at this season in my life. I’m going to school part-time. I’m launching my own business. I’m taking on more responsibility with my little munchkin, while my husband works overnights to bring in a little more income. And when I do have free time, it is usually with Gabe, and as a toddler he doesn’t leave much time to do all those fun, exciting things I mentioned earlier. He is ALL boy, and would rather be running and playing and tearing the house apart than letting mommy cook or do arts & crafts. The only time this boy sits still is when he is watching a movie (but only certain movies really capture his attention) or when he is playing with playdough. So instead, we spend a lot of time on the go¬†when we are together. We go to the park, to Busch Gardens, swimming, to the mall, running errands, to watch the planes at the airport, to the beach, and so on. It doesn’t leave much time to spend at home cooking up a storm or DIY’ing. And when he is at school, I am doing homework, or working on my business, or working out. In this season of my life, those things are the most important to me. Maybe when my business is fully running, maybe after I graduate, maybe when Gabe is a little older, maybe then I will find the time to do these other things that I’d like to do. Or maybe now. Who knows…

Anyways, I am going to transition this blog to be less about crafting, DIY, and cooking, and more about my life, health, and fitness journey. That is also probably going to include vacationing reviews, sports related posts, mommy posts (maybe some reviews??), Disney info, and a few recipes too. If you’ve read this far, I really appreciate your interest, and hope that I can live up to your expectations, and my own.
